About Drug & Alcohol Addiction

About Drug AddictionDrug and alcohol addiction has unfortunately been mis-labeled as being a disease or mental disorder, but it is neither of these. We have found, and are able to prove through thousands of lives saved, that addiction to drugs and alcohol is a problem in life that can be completely overcome. It doesn't have to be a merky swamp of confusion for those seeking a way out. There is a path that can apply to anyone when indivdualized for them and we can help you find that path.

We work with successful rehab programs that have a long-standing history of finding permanent solutions for addiction instead of requiring a lifetime of being "in recovery" or ruquiring repeated treatments or medications.

What is Addiction?

People often become addicted to alcohol or other drugs because they presented as a temporary solution to a problem they are facing. That problem could be physical pain from an injury, or an unwanted emotional state from a tragedy or break-up, or possbily even boredom. Once someone takes the drug and seemingly feels better, they tend to reach for that solution again the next time that problem hits or they are faced with a similar one. The drugs cause numbness or a feeling of relief and therefore become more desireable. As this pattern continues, tolerance can build and the person becomes more physically and mentally dependent on the substance the more he or she takes. Although simplified, this is the general pattern that can be found with every single person who becomes an addict.
